What Are Apex Gears?
Apex Gears are special battle-oriented devices that can be equipped on your vehicles.
Each Apex Gear provides two major benefits:
- Passive Stat Bonuses that permanently improve your vehicle’s performance.
- Active Abilities that can be activated during combat.
Think of Apex Gears as an additional layer of customization that allows you to tailor your vehicles to your preferred playstyle.
Want more Fire Power? More Health? A powerful defensive tool? A devastating offensive ability? Apex Gears can help you achieve exactly that.
How Do Apex Gears Improve My Vehicle? 💬
Every Apex Gear grants passive bonuses to vehicle statistics.
Depending on the Apex Gear equipped, these bonuses may improve attributes such as:
- Fire Power
- Health
- Other combat-related vehicle statistics
Each Apex Gear has its own unique combination of bonuses, making every choice meaningful.
In addition to passive bonuses, every Apex Gear also provides a unique active ability that can be used during battle.
Active Abilities
One of the most exciting parts of the Apex Gear system is the addition of active abilities.
When you enter combat with an equipped Apex Gear, you’ll see a dedicated button that allows you to activate its special ability.
Each Apex Gear features a different ability, offering new tactical options on the battlefield.
Keep in mind:
- Every ability has its own cooldown timer.
- Some Apex Gear abilities recharge faster when destroying enemy vehicles.
- Choosing the right ability can completely change the outcome of a battle.
Timing your ability correctly can be just as important as choosing the right vehicle.
How Do I Unlock Apex Gears?
The Apex Gear system becomes available after completing 10 battles.
Once unlocked, you’ll gain access to the Apex Gear menu and the Apex Gear Store.
As a welcome gift, every player receives enough Apex Modules to purchase their first Common Apex Gear and immediately start experimenting with the system.
How Do I Obtain Apex Gears?
Apex Gears can be purchased through the Apex Gear Store.
To acquire them, you’ll need a special currency called:
Apex Modules (A-Modules)
A-Modules can be obtained through:
- Watching ads in the Apex Gear menu.
- Direct purchases.
Once you’ve collected enough A-Modules, simply visit the Apex Gear Store and choose the Apex Gear that best fits your strategy.
How Do I Equip an Apex Gear?
Equipping an Apex Gear is simple.
- Open the Apex Gear menu from the upper-left section of the Main Menu.
- Select the vehicle you want to customize.
- Choose an Apex Gear from your collection.
- Equip it and head into battle.
At Tier 1, equipping and unequipping Apex Gears is completely free, allowing you to experiment and discover which combinations work best for each vehicle.
Leveling Up Apex Gears ⚙️
As you continue playing, you’ll be able to strengthen your Apex Gears.
To level up an Apex Gear:
- Obtain Apex Modules.
- Open the Apex Gear menu.
- Select an equipped Apex Gear.
- Upgrade it using your available Apex Modules.
Leveling up improves both:
- The passive stat bonuses.
- The active ability.
This means your vehicle becomes stronger while the Apex Gear’s special ability becomes even more effective.
Apex Gear Tiers
Once an Apex Gear reaches its maximum level, a new progression option becomes available: Tier Up.
When you increase an Apex Gear’s Tier:
- Its level is reset.
- Its base power increases.
- Its maximum level increases.
- Its passive bonuses improve.
- Its active ability becomes stronger.
Although the level resets, the Apex Gear becomes significantly more powerful than it was before.
In short, Higher Tier Apex Gears are stronger Apex Gears.
Apex Gear Rarities
Not all Apex Gears are created equal.
Apex Gears are divided into different rarities.
Higher rarity Apex Gears provide:
- Better passive bonuses.
- Stronger active abilities.
- Access to higher maximum tiers.
This means that rarity directly affects the long-term potential of an Apex Gear.

A small piece of advice from me before you spend all your A-Modules.
At Tier 1, switching Apex Gears is free. Once an Apex Gear reaches higher tiers, equipping and unequipping it will begin to cost resources, with the cost increasing alongside the Gear’s tier.
Because of this, it’s a good idea to experiment with different Apex Gears early on and discover which ones work best for your tanks, helicopters, and hovercraft before committing heavily to upgrades.
