What changed recently?
In recent months, new internet restrictions have been introduced in Russia that directly affect how connections to external services operate. These measures have significantly changed how traffic is filtered and managed at a network level, which in turn impacts access to online games and platforms hosted outside the region.
These changes include stronger detection and blocking of VPN traffic, restrictions affecting access to international servers, and limitations on certain Google services and app connectivity. As a result, connections that previously worked without issue may no longer function as expected.
Previously, VPN services allowed players to bypass regional limitations with relative stability. However, newer network systems are now capable of identifying VPN traffic patterns, interrupting connections even after a successful login, and reducing overall stability when accessing specific external services. This is why a VPN that worked yesterday may not work today.
Players affected by these changes may experience login errors, infinite loading screens, unexpected disconnections, or even a complete inability to launch the game. These issues can occur regardless of whether a VPN is being used.
We want to be completely transparent: these problems are not related to Massive Warfare servers or recent updates. They are the result of external network restrictions, which are outside of our control.
