It seemed like an ordinary morning. The distant sound of metal echoed across the battlefield, with dust, smoke, and gunpowder hanging in the air. Tanks moved across the ground, helicopters crossed the sky, and hovercrafts pushed forward as they had countless times before.
Then, something changed.
A new sound could be heard for the first time. It wasn’t a tank, a helicopter, or a hovercraft. It was something heavier. Something different.
Something new had awakened.
That was the day the first Titan rose to its feet. And from that moment on, Massive Warfare would never be the same.
The first Titans were born in secret. NEXUS was the first faction to understand what these machines could become, developing the X1, its first successful prototype, and soon after the X2-Wyvern. Built around advanced energy shields and powerful plasma cannons, the Wyvern was designed to fight from a distance, choose its battles carefully, and survive where other machines could not.
But NEXUS was not the only one watching. UMBRA, through its network of spies and undercover operatives, discovered the project and stole the files and schematics, beginning work on Titans of their own. When VALORA learned what was happening, they began developing their own answer, resulting in the VL-Gladiator, a solid and dependable machine built to lead battles and protect high-priority allies and targets.
Then JUGGERNAUT entered the race in a very different way. After destroying one of UMBRA’s Titan prototypes during a battlefield test, they salvaged what remained and rebuilt the mobile frame with their own weapons. The result was the Brigand MK.1, an aggressive frontliner armed with enormous PUNT cannons and built for quick repairs and relentless combat.
By then, the secret was out. The Titan project had spread from one faction to another, and the race to develop these machines had begun. Each faction had taken the same discovery and turned it into something different, creating Titans that reflected their own technology and way of war.
X2-WYVERN
The X2-Wyvern is the Titan that best represents the technology of NEXUS. Its energy shields and plasma cannons allow it to engage targets from a distance, giving it more control over when and where it fights. The Wyvern doesn’t need to charge into the middle of the battlefield. It can wait for the right moment, strike from range, and stay out of situations it can’t survive.
VL-GLADIATOR
The VL-Gladiator reflects the way VALORA approaches warfare. It was built as a dependable battlefield unit, made to lead the fight and protect those around it. Rather than relying on complex systems, the Gladiator focuses on strength, reliability, and staying power. Simple by design, the Gladiator is a capable all-rounder that can adapt to almost any situation on the battlefield. It doesn’t specialize in one particular way of fighting, but instead provides a solid balance of offense, defense and durability.
BRIGAND MK.1
The Brigand MK.1 is the most direct expression of JUGGERNAUT warfare. Built from the remains of a captured Titan prototype, it uses a salvaged mobile frame combined with JUGGERNAUT weapons and engineering. Its enormous PUNT cannons give it the firepower to hit hard at close range, while its fast mobility allows it to close the distance quickly and keep the pressure on its targets. The Brigand excels when the fight gets up close, where its speed and raw firepower make it especially dangerous.
Its simpler construction also makes it easier to repair and send back into battle. It wasn’t designed to be elegant
A NEW AGE OF WAR
For now, three Titans stand on the battlefield: the X2-Wyvern, the VL-Gladiator and the Brigand MK.1. Each one was built with a different idea of what a Titan could bring to the fight, but all three have introduced something the battlefield has never seen before.
Their arrival changes the way battles are fought. New tactics become possible, new strategies have to be tested, and commanders must learn how to fight alongside these machines and against them.
The battlefield has entered a new era: The Age of Titans has begun.
